This policy explains how FLESHWEAVE LIMITED (“FleshWeave”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you visit fleshweave.com or otherwise interact with us. We are the data controller for that information.

We process personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Information you give us

• Contact & enquiry data — your name, email and message when you use a contact form or email us.
• Newsletter data — your email address and subscription preferences if you join our list.
• Order data — items purchased, delivery and billing details, and order history when you buy from the shop or editions. Card details are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
• Account data — if accounts are offered, your login identifier and saved preferences.

Information collected automatically

• Device & usage data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referrer and approximate location, via cookies and similar technologies (see below).
• Analytics & advertising identifiers — only where you have consented to non-essential cookies.

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13, and we do not process special category data through this site.

Under the UK GDPR we rely on one or more of the following lawful bases:

• Contract — to take payment, fulfil orders and provide services you have asked for.
• Consent — for marketing emails and for non-essential (analytics & advertising) cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Legitimate interests — to operate, secure and improve the site, respond to enquiries and prevent fraud, balanced against your rights.
• Legal obligation — to keep accounting, tax and consumer-law records.

We use cookies to make the site work and, with your consent, to measure and improve it. On your first visit you can accept, reject or manage non-essential cookies; you can change your choice at any time via the cookie settings link in the footer.

• Strictly necessary — session, security, cart and consent-preference cookies. These do not require consent.
• Analytics — privacy-respecting measurement of how the site is used (set only with consent).
• Advertising — used to measure and, where applicable, personalise ads that help fund free content (set only with consent).

This reflects the requirements of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) alongside the UK GDPR.

Part of FleshWeave is funded by advertising on free content (for example in the Academy). Where you have consented, our analytics and advertising partners may process limited data as independent or joint controllers under their own policies.

• Analytics providers help us understand aggregate, de-identified usage so we can improve the platform.
• Advertising partners may measure ad performance and, with consent, show relevant ads. Ad slots are clearly labelled and non-intrusive.

We will keep a current list of named partners available on request and will update this policy as integrations are finalised. We never sell your personal data.

If you join our list, we use your email to send drops, lessons and studio dispatches. We send marketing only with your consent (or where permitted to existing customers under the soft opt-in).

• Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
• You can also unsubscribe by emailing privacy@fleshweave.com.

We share personal data only with processors who help us run the platform — for example payment, hosting, email, fulfilment and analytics providers — under written contracts that require appropriate safeguards. Where data is transferred outside the UK, we use adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum to protect it.

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected: order and tax records are typically retained for six years; enquiry and marketing data until you ask us to erase it or your consent lapses.

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access a copy of your personal data.
• Rectify data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Erase data (the “right to be forgotten”) in certain circumstances.
• Restrict or object to processing, including direct marketing.
• Data portability for data you provided to us.
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior processing.

If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
